Biography Primitif Bono (1880-1955)

Primitif was born in Brescia in Italy but spent most of his life outside Italy: in France and North Africa. He exhibited from 1920 to 1929 in the salon of French artists of which he was a member. In 1929 he settled in Algeria and had the first exhibitions in Oran. He also travels to Morocco via the south of Algeria. Bono was a painter of many landscapes, seascapes and scenes of everyday life and portraits. He is also mentioned in the book of 'the painters of Algeria'.
